I added super hero logos to the already very-well recieved design by Suraky because I thought that our healthcare workers could use a little bit of recognition for being the heroes that they are! This is a simple ear saver to prevent medical masks from irritating the backs of ears for health care workers. This is the easiest design I could come up with to allow the most units printed at once and the least material usage. Included is a file for laser cutting if you want to try that. I remixed this design to increase printing efficiency. I maintained the hook shape, straightened the strap, made it longer and spaced the hooks so that they can be placed closer together on the print tray. I was able to move from printing 13 of the original in 1 hour 50 mins to printing 22 of my remix in 2 hour 10 mins. So went from about 8.5 mins per strap to 5.9 mins per strap. I created a mask ear saver, made out of two parts. You can insert the rubberband in the holes on the upper and lower side. You can clip the parts together as you like (adjustable) Best is to create it with PET. PLA is also possible if sun isn't shining too much on it.

After printing, glue in a 12x3mm magnet into each side of the clasp to allow them to magnetically clip together and apart. "S" Hook is about 3.0" inches long (I have another on here that is 3.6" long). No special settings required, but I did use 2 bottom layers, 2 top layers, and 2 outlines. I made this to print pretty quickly. I'm using Simplify3D and I increased my print speeds quite a bit in order to print as many of these as possible, as quickly as possible.

Here is a larger version of my fast printing Ear Saver. Designed for speed of printing and strength. Tested to over 30 lbs force before breaking with PLA. These take 15 minutes each on my Ender 3 printer at 0.2 layer height and three walls at 0.4 mm line width. The issue is that the majority of masks comes in only one size and are fastened behind the ears with elastic cord holding it. Wearing a face mask for a long period of time is not comfortable at all as they hurt the ear and also can't be adjusted. A very quick to print ear protector/mask tightener for face masks. IF you print with concentric mode it’ll print in under 10 minutes. You hook the strap of your mask onto one side, then put it behind your head and then hook the other side. I made this for complete ear relief from wearing face/surgical masks for a long period time. This design pulls the straps off the whole ear. Will need some 3M spongy seal (or similar) to allow grip onto head/hair. Printed in PLA, and made bent the plates slightly with some heat after printing.

This is my version of the mask strap. I've decided to design it on my own because the other that already exist were too big for me. This is a smaller strap, in fact it's 7cm long, 2.5cm large, and 0.15cm height. If you think that this is too small for you, you can simply scale it in the desired direction in your slicer I've also uploaded the ipt file so you can customize it on your own if you need it.
