This is a pistol grip for mounting a gimbal like the DYS Smart 3 axis onto a hand held pistol grip so it can be used seperate from the drone. As a Part of out Projekt: Cerberus, we made a Gimbal with auto adjust. It uses 3 20 KG Servos and a ADXL345, witch is mounted in the Base of the Gimbal, for Stabilisation. It can support Cameras or even a small Airsoft. Example Code is included, but be warned. It´s been taken out of the exsisting code and may have residue from the former code left. but it may help with debugging.

I found many gimbal protectors/stick savers on Thingiverse but decided to do my own anyway. The parts here then are to fit a Taranis X9D (ref: FX9D) and a Turnigy 9XR (ref: T9XR). The set for the Taranis X9D is three pieces and snaps together with the neck strap extension screw acting to hold it all in place. The Turnigy 9XR set is four pieces and snaps together with a small center piece.

###This is a GoPro Session Gimbal Mount for a DYS Gimbal. The GoPro is secured by clamping down the frame with two M3 screws. A nut is not needed, the screws can be screwed into the plastic. The mount gets secured with a grub screw and holds onto the motor shaft. I made sure that the camera is balanced correctly. If this mount is used on a different gimbal, results may vary. The mount can be printed without support material.

Using concepts and pieces form my 3 axis gimbal, I reconfigured the pieces and put together a 2-axis Mobius gimbal that works on Pan (yaw) and Tilt (pitch). For this I am using the same (15mm) gimbal motor from RCTimer with a hollow shaft to help with wire routing. The hollow shaft makes the routing easy without affecting the motion freedom. This is a remix of NathanMichaelMoore's excellent design. I could not use his design because I have a neck strap balancer (thing 1748966) already screwed onto the mount. I removed the top face of the switch protectors to eliminate the need for supports there. I also added embossed text on the horizontal beams which I painted over with a Sharpie. Work in progress.... My design is using iPower Motor GBM2804 100T motors. I had to use a step bit to clean the circular holes. My original remix design had a flaw where I removed the hole that allowed for a bearing rod. This clamped the mount of the arm down on the bearing, locking it up in the process. my first brushless gimbal worked really well. it just always seemed to big for the small mobius camera. so here is an improved design that is much smaller. until a few days ago i wanted to install the martinez controller (from rctimer) to run this gimbal. unfortunately the controller blew up shortly after i attached a 4s lipo :-( so now i'm going to install an alexmos micro. therefore i will adapt the holes once i get the controller from hk. by the way, i always place a 5 mm thick alpha gel...

this is a small, simple servo gimbal for my 250 quadcopter with a naze32 flight controller. the gimbal is very simple for several resons: - servos and m2 bolts act as supports and pivot points - no need for an additional gimbal controller, the signals are taken from the naze32 - the gimbal has just two axes
