A set of screw caps, compatible with GL-45 threads. I designed these caps for several student projects, where I needed some sort of adapter from the usual GL-45 cap to 1/4 inch OD tubing. Screwing-in NPT to "Push-to-connect" fitting seemed to be the best option, but the thickness of usual GL45 caps was not enough for sealing. Use of sealant and epoxy glue wasn't an option. These caps were used in several cases: - caps for storage vessels - inoculum storage, when some biomass...

I needed a rack to organize vials in which I like to keep prepared daily frozen food rations for my aquarium. I used 28 mm holes because I use stool sample vials from pharmacy and I've noticed that they all fit perfectly in this size. I don't know if its a standard or coincidence, I live in Poland BTW. Design is modular, so you can combine the 1x1 part to make any combination. Its designed to print on side without supports, your printer must be able to make 25 mm bridges.

A Laboratory FumeHood doorhandle can brake in parts because of their age, heavy use or whatever, On our lab we had a few doorhandles which needs to be replaced, but it's an old model so a bit difficult to get. And ofcourse expensive. Not really my problem, but it's fun to make something and to see that it's used every day! The doorhandle has 2 different parts: attach them into the hole of the FumeHood window and use 4 screws: size 2,5mm, length 12mm.

!!! Be careful when using liquid near electronics. Plan ahead in case there is a spill, work carefully !!! This is an updated version of our original magnetic stirrer. The main addition is a magnetic stir bar that make the system 2-3 times more powerful without changing the fan or design. To assemble the stir bar, you need to either glue it closed, or more preferably, use PLA plastic friction welding ( http://hackaday.com/2014/12/30/3d-printing-technique-friction-welding/ ). This is a quick stamper I designed to transfer bacteria from one petri dish to another. Printed as 3 parts; base handle and lid.The lid fits onto the handle first (rather snugly) and then the base. The idea is that you wrap the base in velvet then press the lid down to hold the velvet in place. It likely won't last long before it's worn out but the thing itself will get dirty quite quick too.

This adapter allows for a vacuum filtration flask, ubiquitous in chemistry laboratories, to simultaneously pull on 6 filter funnels. The filter funnels are disposible polyolefin funnels from Chemglass (OP-6602-13, https://chemglass.com/filter-funnels-disposable-polyethylene-frits-chemrus-disposable-filter-funnels). This is particularly useful if running 6 parallel reactions, and the solids from those reactions need to be isolated and dried under a stream of air.

I designed this holder to fit in storage boxes. We use it to store small plasmid tubes in our lab. The bottom is tight enough to keep the tube in place, but wide enough to require little effort in order to get the tubes back. The raw and column annotations help a lot to be sure of the right orientation of the box when you open it (despite the box cover sometimes rotated). No support required at all.

This time around we’ll be building a vortex mixer – I’ve decided on a rugged design which is fairly uncomplicated to put together. Considered making it activated by touching an Eppendorf tube to the vortex head like some commercial models but ended up deciding against it as it would add cost and complexity, without adding much value. A few words about safety: This machine has exposed moving parts and can be dangerous to use, especially if not constructed properly. It is not a toy, not for...

I designed a wall mount disposable glove holder to clear the bench space in our lab. The 4 holes can be used to screw the support or the hold it with magnets on relevant surfaces (metalic walls, fridges, biosafety cabinets, etc...). You will have to print 2 parts, in mirror. This is a collar that lets you insert a 0.5 mL tube into a 1.5 mL tube. A set of 24 pieces prints in about 1 hour (60 mm/s, 0.40 mm nozzle). The usual way to centrifuge a 0.5 mL tube is to nest it inside a 1.5 mL tube, but I sometimes had catastrophic failures when centrifuging samples for long periods at high speeds; the smaller tube would twist inside the larger tube, its rim would get wedged, and then it (and the tube's cap) would rip off entirely. The rest would shoot through the bottom of...

I'm a microbiological analyst and perform a lot of tests using petri dishes. When there are a lot of colonies on the petridish we devide it so we dont have to count all the colonies on the dish but count the section and multiply the count. We used to devide the dish using a regular ruler. This method is not all that accurate. This is why I designed this tool! With this tool it is easy to devide a standard 9cm petridish in halfs, quarts, eights and even 16ths.

A draining drawer stores the stirring bars, and can be also used as a sieve/washing tray (25mm stirring bar included).
