The feasibility of instrumenting the inflatable passive sphere (presently used to provide upper atmosphere density measurements) with miniaturized thermistors, pressure transducers, and accelerometers was analyzed. Data from the sensors must be transmitted by an onboard telemetry system to a ground receiving station. To assure a sufficiently slow fall velocity for the sphere the additional mass of the sensor and telemetry hardware must be less than 100 grams. Other constraints that must be...

I really like the MaskedRetriever's printed planetary gears - but I wanted it to be able to stay together without the need for a rubber band, glue, etc. Thus, I fired up OpenSCAD and whipped this up. Just print the base, the crown, and planets from the original printed planetary gears (linked above) and then slide them into the holder. You'll need the original files if you want to tinker with my OpenSCAD file. Otherwise, if you just wanna get printing, I've included the STL as well.

Basic planetary gearbox with 3 degrees of freedom. Goal was to make protoype that can be use in real life but also in educational purposes , as it can represent 3 different mechanical gear trasmisions. This model was made with all neccecery parts around 200 parts. After making 3D model in SolidWorks we made prototype using Ultimaker 2+ 3D printers to test functionality, with more than 100 3D printed parts in combination with standard parts ( bearing, blots, nuts, retaining ringa..). Prototype...

**caution:** The code needs to be updated to use the new library: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:777936 ## See instructions for some practical info. A bit about some hidden logic in planetary gears: Not every combination of tooth numbers allows to distribute the planets equally around the circumference. If the combination allows equal (equiangular) distribution it can be that the planets are a multiple of the minimal mounting distance away from one another (they are not maximally closely...

Highly modified Planetary gearbox (with correct gear-fit, original had equilateral spacing of the planets which was incorrect). Scaled up by 1.4x (of the Nema17) and modified cover and housing to mount larger motor with large rotating face wheels. Hardware: 5x 608 bearings 3x #8 x 1.5" screws and nuts 1x big screw ... can't remember. Just dig in your toolbox 6x tiny MR85ZZ bearings some washers various sizes If you like it, I may fix up this description and get you the actual hardware...

Falcon Clamp V2 - not so much an improvement but an alternate version using gear cutting techniques from: [Parkinbot](https://www.thingiverse.com/Parkinbot) Using Rudolf Huttary's gear cutting technique opens up some new gear combinations with support for profile shift and single toothed gears. The tooth profile for a gear cut by another gear is also noticeably different from that cut by a straight rack. This technique saves quite a bit of mathematical legwork but has some disadvantages....

Experimental Nut Cracker. Awaiting testing. Pictured with aluminium reinforced jaws, though on its own has a hard bite. Gear ratio 1:41.667. Prints in place fully assembled without supports. IMPORTANT: Print at 0.2mm layer height if using the default model, otherwise ensure layer_h parameter matches your layer height if customizing. Check preview before printing and ensure the 1-layer gap is preserved in the outer ring gears. Use a sharpened spatula, razor or hobby knife to de-laminate the...

A 40mm x 40mm x 34mm Planetary gearbox designed to be mounted to a Nema 17 motor. It's gear ratio is 4.444:1 (40:9 for those who dislike decimals). Version 2 Now supports an M8 bolt for the output by default. Changing the output size no longer requires reprinting the entire assembly - just print the top half of the planet frame, and the cover. If you want the M6 version, print m6_output.stl as well. If you've already printed the M6 version, and want to convert it to M8, print m8_output.stl....

I have NOT PRINTED it yet, I'll update I just saw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gkbb2CBzQI and decided to make one to play with and evaluate. It has herringbone teeth. It should be print-in-place, supports are needed between the two sun gears, hopefully it should be possible to remove them with tweezers and a little force. (This will probably need a revision on the design) The model is parametric in openscad so you can customize it easily, build upon the PolyGear library...

A quick parametric gearbox generator. Use a separate program to combine components if you want to print them all at once. This is NOT a print in place! I used ReplicatorG to shift all the models to the print bed and flip the top cover plate, then blender to combine all the models into one file for the print. Now tested, and minor fixes applied to scad file. The included stl files are for the NEMA17 gearbox with which tests were carried out. It was found that it prints with a 0.4 mm nozzle, but...

Just another script to create planetary gears or just single gears. It's written in Lua for IceSL, allowing to change the number of teeths and star wheels in real-time. The size is based on the module, default settings are M1, with 21 teeth for the sun and star wheels, 10 mm width. The wheelbase of these wheels and the teeth of planetary gear are automatically calculated and displayed. The quality of the gears is controlled by the script, and per default it's just preview quality, because the...

A planetary gear set for demonstration purposes. It includes a compound gear train between the sun and the ring. The 16 tooth sun drives a 24 tooth change gear that has 16 teeth on the bottom. An idler gear connects the output of the change gear to the ring gear which has 72 teeth. I tried to make things fit a bit loose so it would not bind up when assembled. The collar goes over the shaft for the arm and should be placed before the change gears are added. If the ring is held stationary, the...

Update: created new 16 tooth GT2 gear head (6 to 7mm wide) A 4 to 1 planetary gear box for common small stepper motors. Takes your typical 7.5 degree per step motor and turns it into a 1.8 degree per step. I have a ton of small stepper motors I have ripped out of printers but the resolution sucked... so I made this. Plan on making more gear heads later to fit different belts/pulleys. READ INSTRUCTIONS!

EFFECTS OF HYPODYNAMIC CONDITIONS ON THE ARTERIAL BED IN THE MUSCLES AND ADJACENT STRUCTURES OF PELVIC EXTREMITIES IN THE RABBIT WERE INVESTIGATED. ANATOMICAL METHODS OF INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT HYPODYNAMIC CONDITIONS PRODUCED MORPHOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS IN INTRAORGANIC ARTERIAL SYSTEM IN THE MUSCLES, FASCIA AND ADIPOSE CELLULAR TISSUE OF THE IMMOBILIZED EXTREMITY. THESE CHANGES PROVED TO BE STABLE AND RETAINED DURING 6 MONTHS.

Work in progress (awaiting parts). An idea for a robot actuator I'm cooking up. Split-ring compound planetary gear system which uses bearings instead of gear teeth to eliminate the source of the huge inefficiency typical of these gearboxes. Print the ring gears in assembled positions (in place) otherwise you won't be able to assemble them due to the integrated plain bearing surface. Using 0.2mm layer height, a one-layer gap should separate them and be easily de-laminated post printing using a...

This is a remix of LoboCNC's robot actuators, and this one replaces the 35mm motor for the 40P gearbox with a much cheaper 28mm one. The original gearbox used a 35pm048s8-08001 tin can motor, but it was expensive and hard to find. So, instead, I modified the design to use the much cheaper 28byj-48 motor. Secure the motor using whatever you need to use, whether it be screws or super glue. Note: You may need to cut out part of the arm part, depending on whether the motor sticks out or not. Print...
