I am a big fan of the Bear upgrade for the Prusa i3 printers (See details here: https://github.com/gregsaun/prusa_i3_bear_upgrade ). When i was assembling the upgrade, I found it quite tedious to get the Y idler and Y motor holder/pulley aligned with the belt center that is determined by the belt holder. The belt holder is out of sight underneath the frame (and the heatbed, if you've already installed that). In addition. to adjust the motor holder requires removing the motor. This simple tool...

This is set of details and my view of building of Mendel Prusa I3. There are all details for Prusa I3, including endstop sensors for optic endstop boards and LaserCutting frame. The X-carriage had always quite some wiggle room. I did not like this and I even think it can result in some layer shifts. Instead of redesigning the complete X-carriage as I did before (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3145981). I just designed two spacers that can be added for a snug fit of the bearings.

NOTE: This is an update to my [original rear plug PSU design] (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3180564) Although the original design was functional and served it's purpose, several users reported that it tends to warp during print. Although I have not completely eliminated warping with this design, I have minimized it to the point that it's not an issue (you might notice the bottom of the case is a fraction of a millimeter not level, but the bottom component will easily flex to fit this small...

This is an alternate rendition of the LCD dial for the Prusa i3 series. My rationale for the design was to incorporate a tactile element on the perimeter of the dial that corresponded to its rotational clicks. My count for a full revolution was 24 clicks and therefore I introduced 12 sets of grooves and lands to the dial. The design also features a wide concave top for a fully ergonomic thumb press as well as a tighter connection point on the bottom to reduce any play when activated.

The I3-R is a remix of the very good I3 MK2 by Josef Prusa, the worry, it was out of my budget and the same with the originals 3D print files was virtually unfeasible because the parts where fits with are not standard and therefore either very expensive or not found at retail! That’s why I created the I3-R, fully compatible with the standard parts found everywhere !

The original by u/ricktress is great, but I found that it still slid around and if the extruder assembly came up all the way and it wasn't perfectly lined up with the guide, filament would cause the guide to get pushed up. This new design solves those problems.

After building the Prusa Enclosure for my MK2s, I wanted to have the LCD Controller outside of the enclosure. But I also wanted it to be easily removable for maintenance of the printer or to store it inside the enclosure. This is my solution, it works by sliding LCD Controller (with the new arms attached) up to remove the LCD Controller from the brackets and sliding LCD Controller down to secure it back into the brackets. It's hangs low to make sure there's enough clearance for my enclosure...

The reel holder for Prusa i3 was designed in Fusion 360 and printed with the prusa itself. It uses components easily available at a DIY center such as an M8 threaded rod, 4 M8 nuts, a 10mm aluminum tube and two cable ties. It helps to keep the spool of filament in line with the extruder and bouden for optimal print quality.

Remix of the original Prusa Mk2S power supply cuff to support a KIS3R33S DC 7V-24V to 5V 3A Buck 5V USB converter (I bought this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KIS3R33S-DC-7V-24V-to-5V-3A-Buck-5V-USB-than-Step-Down-Module-For-Arduino-UK/192369824145). There's just enough space in the base of the PSU to fit this tiny buck converter PCB. I did this so I could run a Raspberry Pi 3B+ off the Prusa PSU. UPDATE - 2018-08-18 Added some photos of the installation.

This is a modified version of the Prusa i3 x-carriage and extruder. The prusa uses a smaller gear than commonly available, which results in misalignment with the hotend entry when used with those common parts. This version has the motor shifted 0.875mm (the holes shown in the section view are usually vertically aligned), to accommodate a gear with effective diameter of 7mm (like MK8). The x-carriage is also included, as one of the motor holes is shared with the motor. Other changes are, 1)...

I've just purchased the parts for a full Bear upgrade (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2808408) of my Prusa Mk2.5, and as usual, making sure the frame is exactly perpendicular is extremely tricky. So, I created this 90 degree right-angle brace for the V-slot. The idea here is that you use M5 bolts (I only had 25mm bolts on-hand, so used a washer and a nut as spacers) and Tee-nuts to temporarily clamp the right-angle in place on the V-Slot aluminium extrusions, so you can then easily screw the...

This is an upgrade to the GT2 belt holder on the Prusa i3 A8 Acrylic X Carriage, I found that the original one is rubbish... Maybe mine is too LOL but it works great, use the original screws with 2 m4 washers to hold the belt down. Also you might need to just drill the holes with 3.2mm bit as the Chinese brackets are not all created equal.... This works great if you add an adjusting X mount. I wanted to replace the feet that came along with my Prusa i3 MK3, but most of the designs I found needed at least partial disassembly of the frame. So, I decided to make one. There were a few simpler options available, but I thought of going a little extravagant and applying all the new stuff I had learned in Fusion 360. :P * The main body was split into two so that it could be printed easily without supports. I printed them on my MK3 and the tolerance was enough for a good fit. Hopefully, it...

There's NO need for MMU2! Yo can print it with a single nozzle! (and some filament changes) Just situate in the plate the 3 models perfectly. Then errase all but one, save it, go back and "undo" errase all but an other one, and save the model. Do it one last time with the other one. Now you have 3 models separate that fit perfectly. Print the letters "original" and "prusa" first (no matter witch one first). After you print them, do NOT remove it from the plate. If...

This is a file containing all the Prusa i3 Bear components originally designed for v-slots but converted over for non v-slot extrusions. These were used on Misumi extrusions. All Non extrusion related parts can still be found in the original Bear thread. Supports touching base plate are needed for any having the v-slot portion horizontal. Others print fine without support. This is for the mk2.5 though many parts are the same!

Winter of 2018, I created a Prusa i3 clone. You can build this printer for $250, or less. I did, including the cost of a 1kg spool of ABS. The frame was based off the Original Prusa MK3 frame, but fabricated from plywood laminations. I created and used router templates (and a flush trim bit) from the Prusa .dxf files. The rest of the parts closely follow Tom Salanderer's MK2 Clone "Dolly", with some customizations for the parts I ordered from AliExpress. My official github repo for...

Yet another design of extruder indicator for Prusa printers. Part uses a 6x3mm neodymium magnet that should be glued inside the hole, which centers the magnet to the motor shaft. This setup seems to work reliably for now (I had this printer for a week when designed it). I've included two versions of the print with the handle holes twisted by 30 degrees - I couldn't decide which looks better. During printing the motor gets quite warm, so I don't recommend to print with PLA because the tip of the...

I wanted to store my 2nd flexible spring sheet when not in use. The underside of the shelf is not used for anything, so I designed these parts to be printed in pairs and stuck on using four 3M Command strips.. They have a stopper at the back so you don't push the sheet all the way through. Mount the 1st one and then before removing the strips on the 2nd one, dry fit the part and mark the edge of the 2nd bracket on the face of the shelf with a pencil. This way you don't have to fight the sheet....

Summary Prusa i3 Z-axis rod holder Use a 22mm bearing (8mm inside, 7mm height). Fit it in the designed hole. Stick the Z-axis rod in it. Stick the other rod in the other hole. Attach to the stock top cap and there's no more shaking.

I recently purchased an Orbiter Extruder kit and needed a mount for it. I currently use the BearExxa on my Bear Clone and I didn't want to really change too much from that design as it make things easy to disassemble when needing to change parts. So I came up with this simple mount for the Orbiter. The mount is a remix of the BearExxa Body and mounts to the original Bear x-carriage. Unfortunately you will lose the Filament sensor (I'd really like to redesign the body to where I could include...

Reverse bowden IR Sensor Cover for the MK3s I have included 3 versions one for the PC4-M10 pass through connector and another for the PC4-M6 connector. I have now added a version for the PC4-M5 connector. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit 19/2/19: I have added a M5 version. (I don't have an M5 fitting myself so if someone could test it and let me know that would be appreciated.)

I have attached links to a collection of items that I identified added significant value to my first printer purchase: a Prusa i3 Mk3. I was recently advised that I processed this incorrectly and cannot attach the files here but need to link them only. Everything here can be printed and helps improve the printers utility. Only item I modified was the Camera Holder and there is another there that would have been even better for my use. However I have linked them for your use....

The easiest way to level your Z axis. Aditional tools aren't required. How to use: 1. Lift your Z axis. 2. Place the tool as shown at the foto. 3. Make shure that plastic adjoins to the frame and the gate. 4. If not: rotate your stepper motor a bit. Remember to hold the second one. 5. Else: Place tool on the opposite side of the frame and jump to the step 3. To be sure that your printer is calibrated properly iterate this process one or two times.

Having weird issues with your bed leveling not quite working out very well? Use this to test it! This prints a 25x25mm square in the center of each grid square on your Prusa i3 MK2 or MK3 series printer, so you can see where exactly where the bed leveling is failing. This helped me a lot when diagnosing an issue where one side of the bed was much closer to the nozzle than the other; I hope it can help you fix the issues with your bed as well! This print is designed to be printed at a resolution...

Got my hands on a Prusa Mk3 frame and wanted to adapt my Mk2.5 to fit it. Turns out there wasn't that much to change. The rest of the parts are stock Mk3 in the photo. Edit - Added optional x-motor mount with end-stop and mk3 end-idler.
