After watching the Tesla's Model X presentation I was impressed with their snap and forget phone charger. I thought why can't I have the same? Lo and behold, a cup-holder Qi charger stand! This has quite a few modifications from the original design. - New variations for different phone models and case sizes - Adjusted bottom portion which was running into the rubber bottom mat - Added lower shelf for the phone to sit on, little nicer when putting the phone in - Filled the holes on the top and rounded the top edge for a nicer finish Overall the original design was by far the best wireless dock I could find for the Model S and X. Starting work on some Qi Chargers using IKEA's new LIBJOV line. This line is a USB-C Qi wireless charger. I've created a template for the LIBJOV itself, which is perfect for making cutouts. The square design is easy to remix if you want to try to make your own designs. The roundrect design is a simple build if you want to add colour to your charger. So I got a Morik qi charger to embed in my nightstand as well as the Fixa drill set to install it. Then I found that the charger head is too tall for the top board in the nighstand and the closest blade in the Fixa set leaves about 5 mm space all around the charger. I made the fitting piece to compensate for the blade radius and lower the charger.

Use some flexible material for the ring which is interlocking with the top part after one got it pressed in the recess. I recommend only 3 bottom layers and 5% infill. The housing print in whatever you like without any supports. (the top upside down) For me it was PETG Vertigo Gray. The duct is for 3mm usb cables.
