This is my replacement knob for my Logitech G29, that is a better fit for my dainty hand. Uses the crosshead screw from the G29 knob. Used a diving flashlight as a template for the tactile feedback in case I want to try VR and need to orientate by touch alone. All slopes are 45 degrees max both ways so you it can be printed both sides up. Wanted to try building a shifter for my Camaro, This is my first attempt. The point of the spring and housing/brackets are to work with the shifter cover to prevent an accidental slam in Reverse when manually shifting an automatic, so this is spring loaded shifter/cover may save your Transmission, the bottom of the shifter will connect right up to a standard shifter cable. Hi! Here is a long throw mod for those who prefer a normal car shifter feel. ABOUT THIS MOD: This mod Increases the stock throw of about 6cm to 9cm which is closer to a normal throw of a car shifter. This is simply a basic shift knob I designed in TinkerCAD and printed for my mk3 VW Cabrio. Will fit many other VWs with similar thread pattern. For me, I heated up the metal threaded shaft with a heat gun before screwing it on to help the threads seat better. NOTE: if printing in PLA, be aware that the heat inside a car may cause warping. I printed mine in wood and covered with a thick stain/lacquer and it has held up OK.

This is my "heavy duty" sequential shifter for simracing. It's based on a ball bearing that is pushed against two microswitches. Designed to fit a 99-04 5 speed but this should fit some others as well. Check your thread size and compare to know for sure. threads for this are M12 X 1.75. I printed mine at 101% scale to give the threads some clearance. You may need to do more or less depending on your settings. Generally 101 or 102% scale should work for most printers with correct settings. This should print fine without supports. No supports are needed for the threads.

So I've been playing around with making custom shift knobs to print that would look good in hybrid wood filaments. I was a bit apprehensive about using this in a car since PLA is known to soften, but at 50% infill and with a nice thick coating of stain/lacquer on top it seemed to hold up this summer just fine. I also have a plain version without the voronoi style pattern.

The adapters that came with the shiftknob didn't have a ring to hold up the shiftboot, so I designed one with a ring attached so the leather shiftboot will be held up. It is designed to work with a mishimoto shiftknob, but might work with others. Included are 3 sizes: M8 X 1.25 M10 X 1.5 M12 X 1.25 These are the inside diameters to fit on the shifter
