This is a prototype spool holder adapter for a delta bot that I am designing. The purpose being to reduce the size of a spool filament hole so that will fit better on a 14 mm or smaller rod. It is 63.5 mm round, 20.64 mm thick and has a 14.29 mm hole through it. I have not had a chance to test it because my delta bot is not complete yet. Feel free to test it and let me know if it works well for you. I can change the design and upload a new design here if you let me know what your needs are....

Printing using a 3D Systems Cube 3, when the filament breaks it takes too long to open the cartridge to free the broken filament, feed new one and close the cartridge case again. To save myself some time, I modified the cartridge case as per picture, created and printed a spool holder as to feed the printer from outside the cartridge. Now if the filament breaks I can easily fix it :)

I created this filament spool holder to store my spools using a mounting by the top. This design is easy to print on any 3D printer with classical PLA. I used a 50% infill, but you can use 100 % infill if you want a better mechanical resistance. This holder can be used to store any kind of spool up to 1 kg. Use 2x M4 screws to attach it. This is a spool holder Single and Double that uses the original manufacturers upright and collar and sets the filament at 90° to the gantry. Printed in PETG or ABS for strength. Needed a quick and easy way to get spool to roll freely. Used 2 SC10UU Linear Motion Ball Bearing, a couple rubber bands, and an 3/8 inch aluminum rod from the hardware store to achieve this. i believe the inner diameter of the spool is ~55 mm. Its kinda a remix in that i used the basic concept for one of tswaehn models as reference for this. I just wanted to use my bearings and the stuff I already had laying around

This is an insert for standard Inland-brand (54mm hub hole) 1kg filament spools that sit in a spool holder with a 14mm support rod. The idea behind this is to lift the center of gravity and reduce the amount of contacting surface area so that the spool spins freely without the need of bearings or loads of filament. It works ridiculously well.

This Spool Holder is made to clip on to a 2020 extrusion. The result is a firm grip on the extrusion and adjustable spacing. The design was inspired by "TUSH - The Ultimate Spool Holder" by filamentry. Designed for bearing specification: 0.4375 in ID, 0.9063 in OD, 0.3125 in Width. You might need to glue the pins in the roller - tolerances on the roller holes are very unpredictable, being printed sideways and all - which is why they're oversized. No supports! This is a very simple remix of the basic printable spool holder by JadeKnight 3066 I like designing in OpenScad so I have converted to that. I am aiming to use wooden dowel as I think that will be cheapest. I am interested in the form of construction as I think you could make more things with this technique. I designed a hex pattern spool holder. It holds the 5 and 15 lb spools from COEX, I'm sure it'll hold plenty of others. I included the F360 files for both the frame and the Dowel as well. The design was centered around the use of 40mm OD bearings with a 17mm ID, and 12 mm width. You can use the same bearings, or modify the file to your liking as well.
