This is a swappable power pod for the FT Trainer. It's made for 16mm mounting holes. There are a few other designs for this on thingiverse, but I did not see one that incorporated the motor offset angle that is in the original design. I used the free plans for the plane to trace the dimensions for this pod, and added some holes in the firewall to add strength. The holes for the wooden skewers may need to be reamed out a tiny bit to reduce the friction.

A simple, mirrored version of the original Firewall provided by Flitetest for people who don't know how or don't want to mirror the original STL in their slicer, Fusion 360 etc. Basically allows the wiring to come through on the opposite lower corner if your motor wiring requires it. Also re-oriented so it matches the proper orientation for printing.

This firewall will fit into a flitetest swappable plane allowing use of an emax 1806 motor as sold as an "A" power pack. I created this firewall since the custom built plane I created had a larger fuselage making the smaller power pods unusable. The motor dimensions were designed around the emax 1806 bolt pattern. I designed this because I got tired of my battery dragging on the dirt every time I fly my FT Delta. I printed it without supports, rafts, or brims, but if rafts or brims help you with adhesion they should not be a problem. This does not have to be glued on, and can be attached by using only the Power Pod BBQ Skewer. I used a 31mm rubber wheel, but anything about that size should work. If you're not going to add LEDs you can skip quite a few of these steps. They look pretty cool without the LEDs. I used M3 x 8mm machine screws and M3 nuts to hold the LED boards in place. For the top I used 3mm thick acrylic in 95mm squares. The top frame is superglued to the base. To print the slides, I paused the print after the white part and changed the filament to black. Inspired by Flite Test and their foam board planes. I enjoy the simplicity of their planes, but I became tired of damaging the foam board when trying to remove the servos for use in another plane. These mounts allow you to add and remove your servos with out damaging your plane or covering your servos in hot glue. Included are mounts for both 4g and 9g servos. Simply hot glue these mounts to the foam board, and screw in the servo!
