The tentacle was mainly a small challenge to myself, to get into modeling with Blender. I follow a tutorial modeling this and did some touch ups in Rhino5 on the mesh count. The tentacle was printed in vase-mode and the brown print was finished with a layer of epoxy.

I made the tentacle stand more upright and changed some of the suckers so I could print it without supports. I added a semicircular hole in the bottom so that I could add in a part for the bottom of the bookmark.

This is a chess pawn for an underwater themed chess set. I thought it would be funny to have 8 tentacles as the pawns. A robotic arm with 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) controlled by 2 servos and an arduino. Fishing line (or extruded plastic threads) acts as tendons and a spring at each joint allow the arm to curve evenly. This project is a stepping stone to a larger project, so it is not meant to do anything useful yet, but be used as a part of whatever you can come up with. I used the WeeksB_TentacleTapeHolderV2.stl from WeeksB, and then merged WeeksB_TapeBlade.STL into it before printing it. No exacto knife blade required. Mostly works. Very nice design from WeeksB.

I got bored with having smooth, undetailed walls for items, and tried out the displacement modifier with Blender. Requires some heavy surface subdivision and a bit of UV mapping. To do this on your own, you need an UV mapped model, a displament map (you can just use any image for that) and you need to add a subdivision and a displacement modifier to the object in blender. I saw something similar once but couldnt find it, so i made one myself. Depending on your printer, you might want to cut off 1-2mm on the tips, so every arm has the same length and tip-size. sometimes the tips dont get printed well, because they are too pointy I marked the edges with a bigger D20 and placed the tentacles accordingly, so that every side has the same size. this should give you a well-balanced dice-feeling (i hope i didnt screw anything up :P)

Ellindsey's ball jointed octopus was great, but I wanted a giant squid for my desk. Since squid have 8 tentacles and 2 feeding arms, I had to add 2 more joints on the bottom as well as sculpt the head. I also made different ends for the feeding arms and a beak you can glue on if you want a scarier squid. I printed this beautiful tablet stand https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:213990 and I noticed that it contained some facets when I printed it at 100 micron. I in no way take credit for this. If you like this please tip the original creator in the link above. I resculpted this model in Meshmixer to add more polygons to the model.
