Made this up with the blank baseplate from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4555831 to mount the Trianglelab Matrix Light direct drive extruder. This is one of few options I have seen for making the Mega X direct drive without losing either X or Z axis capacity. Currently using this with my own fan design and this X belt tensioner https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4908450

This is an alternative backplate mount for extruder 2. It allows adjusting the second extruder using the stock mechanism. It fits perfectly to BigDogMakes Artist-d Hemera Mount. I use it with Trianglelab Matrix extruders. Hint: Use some longer M4 screws. One m3 insert nut is needed.

Remixed dks' 5015 fan duct for the Trianglelab Matrix, the nozzle on the Matrix isn't in the exact same location as a Hemera, but the mounting pattern is the same. Also added a 3D touch mount, which prints seperately (no supports) and uses an M3 screw on the bottom hole to screw into the main duct body, which has M3 threads modeled in. BL touch/3D touch has Y offset by 35mm, X is inline, and Z is 3mm higher than nozzle. Just rotate the files so they print properly.

The TriangleLab Matrix isn't quite an exact copy of the E3D Hemera; the nozzle is slightly offset in all axes. Critically for Hangtight's excellent Hemera cooling duct, there's a ~2.6mm offset on the X axis which not only moves the nozzle offset from the centre of the duct output, but also moves the duct quite close to the heater block. This remix of the mount recentres the duct to the nozzle, accounting for the nozzle offset. Overall thickness of the mount has been reduced so an M3 x 8mm screw...

I was able to modify/tune the stock extruders to be consistent but fundamentally they are a poor design and with no gearing, no *proper* way to tension and no access to the gears without disassembly so I decided to replace them. I had two TriangleLabs Matrix Extruders lying around so designed these mounts to replace the stock extruders. The goal was simply to mount them, use better (higher flow) radial fans for part cooling, add bltouch and for it not to be a spaghetti of wires once done....

I really like the way Oceany mounted the BLTouch on his Hemera mount. Unfortunately, the TriangleLab Matrix has some slight variation in the nozzle offset which means the mount doesn't work out of the box, requiring a spacer on the BLTouch at a minimum. This remix moves the entire extruder +2.5mm to account for the additional Z offset of the TriangleLab Matrix nozzle. Additionally there is approximately a +2.5mm offset in the X axis.
