Street Fighter 2 - The World Warrior SNES OST

Back in 1998 the game Unreal was released, but what some people didn't know was that there was also a promotional soundtrack sold of the games entire soundtrack. A few years ago I ran across one of those CD's. I have provided both a VBR MP3 copy of it and a FLAC copy with a CUE file included and the CD Artwork. Enjoy this rare find!

http://raborak.com/saladedemais/castles-ii-amiga-game-recording Here’s a short recording of the music from Castles II on the Amiga. It was composed by Charles Deenen , a western video game music composer favorite of mine. Not That I like everything by him, but his most medieval sounding works are truly delightful to my little ears. So yeah, another medieval-ish chiptune release, there. Enjoy ~

There are records on the web showing that a self-produced CD was released by Ancient surely mostly for their own archiving needs, but I believe a few copies made it to some fans collections. The purpose of this lecture recital was to reflect on the characteristics of video game music, how those characteristics were shaped through technological advancements in the industry, and how to apply them to composition. Due to the limitations of early video game technology and memory space, video game composers were extremely limited. Composers worked through these limitations by composing with limited range and timbres, looping, and extensive use of ostinato. Even though modern day...

Hover! (Windows, 1995) - Soundtrack MIDI soundtrack of Hover, a 3D action game found on the Windows 95 CD. This game was originally designed to show off Windows 95's multimedia capabilities. The original files are included. They originally had the .MUZ extension, but as they are really MIDI Stream (.MDS) files they've been renamed. All tracks loop. After one loop they fade out over 10 seconds. The sound effects from the game have been included as well, in case anyone is interested in them....

This album is the result of the shared madness that infected two young men as they entered numbers into a grid. The more numbers they entered, the further the madness seeped into the folds of their brains. Coffee did nothing to help. Watching cartoons did even less. Pack after pack of cigarettes was consumed, to no avail. The music would not be stopped.

It was well received, ranking #6 in Nintendo Power’s top 30 games, but was soon forgotten (except by its die-hard fans) until its port to the Wii virtual console in 2010.
