I needed something high to check the calibration in my Z axis due to some odd layer shifting. This thing is about 60MM high. Look for layer shift in your Z axis, uses minimal material.

Z indicator is a good way to make sure your X axis are not out of level, once you've level your Z axis turn the top Z pointer to the indicator on both. This way you can keep and eye on them if one get out of level. Note: To hold the Indicator Part in the right location I use Hot Glue gun, at rear of part between the section out piece, and the Coupling.

Summary This is a part for a 310mm threaded rod. You will need a skateboard ball bearing and 2 3mm screws. One arm of the part is longer than the other. when in slicer scale the part up by 25.4. Place the bearing in the middle of the part and you are all done!

I modified the original one in reply to "stan2324" question for better solution. If I would have not read his question, I would have ended up moving the x-stop switch! I didn't want to compromise the printable width on x axis by moving the x-stop switch further inwards towards the bed, so I decided to design a notch on Z-Axis Brace, that can easily accommodate the hot end. The brace I used is the one already modified by "da4id", but as originally designed by...

Bought a Geeetech i3! Great value! Except it came with a bodgy Z axis drive. The threaded rods were bent. Leading to the ripples/ wobbles associated with such a flaw. I bought new screws for it they were straight but unfortunately their thread was too coarse for the steppers to hold the weight of the x Axis. It kept on going out of true. I looked around for another answer to the problem. There are a few of these guides on thingiverse. Bernbout's thing is the basis for this one, it allows the...

Hello dear community! I've found this excellent design and was inspired by it. I decited to do a little mashup, because the original idea wasn't meant for the LMK12LUU deisgn. BOM - 7x M3 nuts - 3x M3x40 - 1x M3x10 - 1x M3x15 and a optical Endstop ;) Print it and have fun! If there is something to tell, please send me a message or post a comment. :)

Z Axis Anti-Rotation Packer\Wedge for the Zonestar P802QR2 Wow, that's a mouthful. Basically due to the design of the stepper motor mounting tab when tension is applied to the X axis drive belt the Z axis stepper motor rotates off the perpendicular ( well spotted " Mr John").This is a bracket\packer when inserted between the Z axis stepper motor and the heat bed transverse slide support pushes the Z axis stepper motor back into some form of alignment . I have the 2016 Qidi Tech 1, they've beefed up the Z axis rods to 10mm from 8mm, so the shim isn't as needed. However, I am in the process of plugging the holes in the bottom of the machine so that random bits of junk don't fall into the circuitry underneath. I took inspiration from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1412738. Do note, I haven't printed this yet and confirmed my measurements. I will update once I have.

Work in progress! Z axis bracketry for the flying bear, I will do a few versions and update as I design and test them. 2/28/17- Bottom Z axis bracket for pancake stepper and custom bearing housing: This is untested, but I dont think the flying bear Z stepper motor needs much of any torque. So I got a pancake stepper for my titan and decided to order another and try it on the Z axis. It is 15mm shorter which will give you 15mm more Z height (dont forget to enable in firmware!), and has 18.5 oz...

I've learned the mgn/lineal rails set on Z is stiffer and definatelly an improvement over the lineal lmXuu bearings and smooth rods... but since these 2 were not in a single piece there was some rocking on the X axis direction of the xy plane (printing bed)... Having the both mgn12h joined in the center made the bed very stable... there is virtually no vibrations This is for original tech2c hypercube (200 mm printing cube)

Hi to all! It's my first thing uploaded there. I did it becauce I've face print quality issue. I found (as many of K8200 owners) that Z axis is weak. I doesn't move smootly and precise because of free play. Some people fix it by adding second leading rod or replacing threaded rod by trapezoidal rod. I found cheaper and faster solution. Nut and thread on the rod have some free play. Gravity force on the Z arm cancel it... but not enought when Z arm moving. I just add second M8 nut above stock...

This is an extended Z axis for a Makerbot Cupcake using LM8UU linear bearings and 8mm rods. It currently prints to a smidge under 200mm. The idea was to design this around a stiff spine for support using as few parts as possible. Although this works great, it is a work in progress and I plan to replace the threaded rod from the original Z axis with an Acme rod sometime in the next few weeks. Even my least wobbly threaded rod is so wobbly that it still has an effect!

NOT compatible with the round fan shroud! However the Mistral 2.1 works perfectly. Made a stabalizer for the Tronxy P802 z-Axis. You can use any 608 bearing you want. I've already posted 2 revisions of Z-Axis stabilizer for Velleman Vertex K8400 printer: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1507471 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2518429 The idea of this design came to me after my Z-coupler broke. well I decided to go ahead and design my own version of Z anti wobble bracket with tensioning ... Now this should work to take out all wobble in Z. The main two parts will need supports when printed... These can be printed one at a time or both at the same time I included both options in the files. What this design does is allow the Z axis lead screw to float in X and Y axis while maintaining Z axis. it also has the rear wheel able to move which would allow for it to be tightened against the...

Simply an alternate Makergear M2 (revision E printer) Z-Axis knob. I printed mine and had to do a little sanding with some 60 grit then some 400 grit to get the metal collar to fit into it but it works great. I felt that it was okay to do some sanding because I know that the collar needed to fit snugly into the knob. I placed a small notch into the part so that the allen screw didn't hit the inner wall and it helped to orient the two pieces. Instead of having M2 on the top like this file has, I...

This is a Geeetech i3 Z axis modification. Mine is the plywood version, so it may not be good for acrilic or other versions. The final Z printing area depends on the extruder throat length, I have a 50mm throat and I reach 235mm; the original Geeetech throat is 38mm long, so the printing area will be about 245mm. There are some parts to extend the top of the printer, without major modifications of the frame, there will be the need to drill just two 3mm holes. The other parts are the step motors...

On my zonestar the Z axis tuning is VERY annoying. Mainly because the screw is too short and the spring too long. Also the screw is not aligned to the top of the dip switch bar but to the middle. So I decided to change it. This will extend to the top of the limiter gaining some mm there. Also the screw should be put upside down so the head is below the limiter, then the limiter, the spring then the holder and ontop of everything the plastic bolt or a metal bolt. MUCH easier to tune it.
